100% |
This assignment extends your exploration of the proposed business idea (in your previous submission) by exploring the feasibility of your business idea and integrating an analysis of the entrepreneurial ecosystem of your chosen country, region, or city. Your report should investigate and discuss how the entrepreneurial ecosystem influences the feasibility and success of your specific venture. This assignment is in two Parts:
Part A: Feasibility Study (600 words)
Part B: Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Analysis (2,000 words) Total: 2,600 words
In Part A (Feasibility Study), you are required to individually explore the feasibility of the business idea presented in your poster by presenting a 600-word feasibility study covering the following:
a. Leveraging trends
Identify and discuss key trends or opportunities that your business model leverages.
Explain how your venture capitalises on these trends to gain a competitive edge.
Emphasise the innovative elements in your business idea(s), detailing how your product/service offering introduces novel solutions or improvements compared to existing alternatives, i.e. What sets it apart from existing ideas?
Articulate how or if your business model could be expanded to cater to a global market. Analyse the international appeal of your product/service and its alignment with global consumer needs.
Part B: Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Analysis
With reference to the Isenberg model, analyse key components of the entrepreneurial ecosystem in your chosen location and justify your choice of country, region, or city for locating your business.

FEEDBACK
Feedback on drafts will be provided in the second revision class.
As a rule:
1) This must be a new submission-You should not simply amend your original work. Use the assignment 2 brief and advice and references to the elements of the ecosystem must be specific and relevant to your proposed business idea. You are advised to use relevant and reliable databases and sources introduced in the module as a basis.
2) Marks are awarded for content, quality of discussion and effective use of referencing. Higher marks are awarded to students who provide strong evidence of analysis and critical evaluation of the various concepts and techniques identified and their application to real world situations.
3) Work must include references to journal articles and other relevant publications, and the Harvard system of referencing should be correctly applied. See: Guide to Referencing in the Harvard Style – available in the module area on BBL . We also encourage you to avail of the Academic Support via the Library’s Support Service.
4) To achieve high marks, students will be expected to demonstrate a familiarity with the wider and current literature in the subject area, and not merely an ability to re-produce module content. Note that marks are available for evidence of reading and accurate referencing.
5) We recommend that students make multiple submissions in advance of the due date to receive feedback via Turnitin on their academic writing style (similarity score) to avoid potential plagiarism issues. Be aware that
instances of plagiarism will incur serious penalties. You may also consider feedback via the Studiosity tool. Further guidance will be given in class.
6) Work should be well structured and written in a concise manner. You should note the word limit policy. Penalties as follows:
+/-10% – no penalty
+/1>10% – 20% – 5% penalty
+/->20% – 30% – 10% penalty
+/->30% – 40% – 15% penalty
