There are two parts to the TMA01.
During Week 4 seminar, students will form small groups to examine any ONE concept that they have learned so far in this course and give a 5-minute PowerPoint group presentation. Everyone in the group must take part in the presentation. The PowerPoint presentation should consist of 5 to 10 slides.
After the group presentation, students need to individually submit the Cover Page and the group presentation PowerPoint slides to Turnitin.
Please submit to Turnitin submission link “-TMA01: PowerPoint” by Monday, 10 February 2025, 11:55 pm. Late submissions will not be accepted.
If you are unable to attend the presentation, you are required to develop and submit a 5-minute MPEG-4 video individually, analyzing any ONE concept that you have learned so far in the PSY352 course. The video can be a narrated or non-narrated slide presentation and should include additional information relevant to the concept.

With the increase in globalization over the past several decades, people are coming into contact with others from diverse cultural backgrounds more than ever before. What is the best way to deal with group differences in a multicultural community? Should we adopt a colour-blind approach and ignore these differences in favour of focusing on similarities? Or should we adopt a multicultural approach and acknowledge these cultural differences and view them as a source of strength? This is a sensitive and controversial issue that divides societies and psychologists alike (Heine, 2020).
Using relevant research evidence, demonstrate knowledge of cultural psychology and assess whether we should adopt a colour-blind approach and ignore the cultural differences or we should adopt a multicultural approach and acknowledge these cultural differences and view them as a source of strength.
